Winter Share Bread Signup

Hello! If you visited the Goranson Farm store this year on a Friday or Saturday, or came to their Maine Maple Sunday event, you’re probably already familiar with our Country Loaves. They are high-hydration, naturally leavened sourdough hearth loaves, formulated to be hearty, practical, and delicious. The flour is a mix of Maine-grown and milled wheat and rye, and the only other two ingredients are water and touch of sea salt. They freeze beautifully whole or in slices.

We are offering this bread as a trial for the Goranson Farm Winter CSAers. Those who sign up for this 6-month bread share pay $8.50/loaf (regularly $10), for a total of $51. Our intention is to help us predict how much bread to make for those Saturdays, and to ensure that those who want bread will have a loaf waiting for them regardless of early sellout.

We will also be present at the farm during regular pickup time (Second Saturday every month, 9am-12 pm) with a little extra bread and other baked goods available for sale. Due to the mind-boggling amount of moving parts the farmers are juggling, this offer is only for on-farm pickup and cannot be added to other pickup sites this year.

Whether or not weekly bread delivery continues at the Farm Store is still up in the air as our schedules change, so this may be the only week of each month that bread is available there.

Want to sign up?

Just fill out the form below, and please bring your full cash or check payment in person to the first pickup on November 9th. Due to fees that would cost us $0.50 per loaf, we do not take card payments of any kind.
